Acceptable use policy

Predicting in good faith

Predictions on Hunch should be your own judgement. The product loses meaning if predictions are gamed.

• One account per person. Multi-accounting forfeits all Hunch Points and rankings.
• No coordinated manipulation of market prices through groups, bot networks, or scripts.
• No use of automated tools to make predictions on your behalf without disclosure.
• No insider trading: if you have non-public information about a market's outcome (e.g. you are an employee of the entity in question), do not predict on it.

Speaking on the platform

Hunch has light community features — comments on Echoes, public profile, prediction reasoning. These follow standard civility rules.

• No harassment, threats, or abuse directed at any person or group.
• No content unlawful in the UK (e.g. defamation, incitement, contempt of court).
• No doxxing — do not publish private information about others without consent.
• No spam, repeated promotion of unrelated services, or commercial activity outside our official Partners programme.

Technical use

• No attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass rate limits on the platform.
• No automated access except via our official API with a valid token.
• No attempts to compromise security — vulnerability research should be disclosed to info@readhunch.com first.

Real-money services (when live)

Once real-money markets launch under UKGC licence:

• Funds must come from your own bank account, not third parties.
• No money-laundering activity. We are required to report suspicious patterns.
• Withdrawals subject to identity verification and source-of-funds checks above thresholds.
• If you self-exclude, the period cannot be lifted on request — we are bound by the GAMSTOP framework.

Consequences

Breaches result in actions proportionate to severity:

• Minor: warning, content removed, points adjustment.
• Material: temporary suspension, forfeiture of Hunch Points, removal from leaderboard.
• Serious or repeated: permanent ban, account closure, refund of unused balances minus any sums forfeited under these terms.

Where breach involves potential illegality, we co-operate with UK authorities.

Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action is incorrect, write to info@readhunch.com. Appeals are reviewed by a different person from the original decision-maker. Response within 14 days.

Reporting abuse

To report a breach of this policy by another user or content on the platform: info@readhunch.com. We respond within 48 hours, sooner for urgent safety concerns.
