Frequently asked
What is a Hunch Point and what does it cost?
Hunch Points are skill-based credits used to make predictions. Free to use, free to earn. They cannot be exchanged for money or goods. They're how we track your forecasting accuracy without involving real money. More on methodology.
Is Hunch licensed by the UK Gambling Commission?
UKGC application is pending. Until licence approval, all markets use Hunch Points only. Real-money services launch on UKGC approval (expected 2027). Licence status.
How is my Brier score calculated?
Brier score measures probabilistic accuracy. A perfect forecaster scores 0; a coin-flip scores 0.25; reliably wrong scores 1. We use the standard mean squared error formula over your resolved predictions. See leaderboard.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes, anytime from your dashboard. Account data deleted within 30 days. Predictions retained as anonymous statistical record only.
How are Echoes resolved — who decides?
Every Echo's market has a resolution criterion published at creation. When the criterion is met (or the deadline passes), resolution is automatic where possible (government data, named event outcomes), or reviewed by editor where judgement is required. Disputed resolutions go through a public appeal process. Methodology.
