On Apple's results call of 2 November 2026 CFO Kevan Parekh forecast October to December revenue growth of 7% to 10% on a year earlier, a range wholly above zero, as the Six Colors call transcript and CNBC (off-list) both report; the webcast recording itself was not played.
Hunch. A year ago, on 30 October 2025, Tim Cook gave a range of 10% to 12% growth for the December quarter, so Apple giving no forecast is the less likely way to NO.
The forecast market resolves on the recording of Apple's results webcast on investor.apple.com: YES if on 2 November 2026 Apple names a revenue forecast for October to December 2026 whose whole range is above zero growth on a year earlier, NO if the range touches zero or lower or Apple gives no revenue forecast. The Guardian and BBC News are the backups.
We looked for cases where a large company gave its quarterly results for the first time under a new chief executive, who had replaced a leader of eight years or more. We found nine such reports since 2000, all at US companies. Microsoft is there twice, in 2000 and 2014. One of the nine is Apple itself: Tim Cook’s first results in October 2011, when a new iPhone also went on sale after the quarter ended.
