The organising committee posted no weather-related schedule change between 10 and 20 September. Its first one, the equestrian eventing swap over Typhoon No. 25 rain, was announced on 21 September, outside the window.
The schedule market resolves on the Aichi-Nagoya organising committee's own schedule and news pages at aichi-nagoya2026.org, which publish session changes as they are decided. It resolves YES if a scheduled competition is moved to another day or slot, moved to another venue, or abandoned between 10 and 20 September with weather given as the reason. An in-play stoppage that ends with the event finishing inside its scheduled slot resolves NO, as does any change made for another reason. If the committee posts nothing, the Al Jazeera and BBC Sport reports of the change settle it.
We looked at the last eight times since 2016 that heavy weather hit the venues or athletes' housing at a major multi-sport games or world championship, during competition or just before it. We asked whether organisers moved, delayed or cancelled at least one event within a week because of the weather. All eight did.
