Resolved: YES

The FOMC approved its 16 September 2026 statement by a 12 to 0 vote. The Fed lists Lisa D. Cook among the twelve 2026 committee members, and Board members have no alternates, so all twelve voted. The statement does not print the names (federalreserve.gov, FOMC page and statement).

How this resolves

The market resolves on the FOMC statement and its voting record published at federalreserve.gov on 16 September 2026 after the meeting of 15 and 16 September. YES if Cook is named among the members voting on the monetary policy action, for or against. Absence for any reason, including a stay or administrative leave, resolves NO. If that source has not published in time, Reuters and Al Jazeera reports of the vote settle it.

The pattern behind it

Too few cases
One of the four scored board removals since January 2025 left the official in office thirty days later, and it was Cook's own case in August 2025, blocked by a district court within fifteen days. Wilcox at the NLRB, the FTC commissioners and the three CPSC commissioners were all out of office at the thirty-day mark and restored only after five weeks, four months and seven weeks respectively, before the Supreme Court allowed their removals. Four cases is the full scored record and below the six Hunch requires to show History.

We found four removals like this since January 2025. Each time the President moved to remove a member of a federal board whom the law protects from being fired without good reason, and the member went to court. Officials removed on the same day from the same board count as one. For each we checked whether the person was still in office, or back by court order, 30 days after the President's move.
