Glastonbury 2027 general admission went on sale at 9am BST on 4 October 2026 and sold out in 42 minutes, organisers said; the festival's ticket page now reads that tickets have sold out, and BBC News reported the 42-minute time the same day.

How this resolves

Resolves YES if the general admission allocation for Glastonbury 2027 is reported sold out within 60 minutes of the sale opening. the festival's own confirmation at glastonburyfestivals.co.uk or its verified accounts, published on sale day; failing that, sell-out time as reported by at least two of BBC News, The Guardian and The Independent. Coach-travel and resale allocations do not count.

The pattern behind it

3 of 4
Three of the four sales on this page cleared in an hour or less. The full record is stronger and its exception is the one that matters here: eight consecutive sales have gone in under an hour, the streak the BBC counted in November 2024, and the sale immediately before that streak was the October 2012 sale after the last fallow year, which took an hour and 40 minutes. The open questions for 2027 are the sale date, still unnamed, and how far the price jumps after two years of pent-up demand.

Eight sales in a row have sold out in under an hour. We looked at Glastonbury's general ticket sales since October 2012, when tickets for 2013 went on sale during the 2012 year off. That sale took longer, an hour and 40 minutes. The record also shows that prices rise most in the sales that follow a break.
