Hunch. The last three NBA sales with a stated count were all unanimous, but the vote first has to happen by 30 November.
The unanimous vote market resolves on the same NBA press release: YES if the release approving the Lakers sale by 30 November 2026 says the owners voted unanimously, and NO if there is no approval by then or the release does not say the vote was unanimous. ESPN confirms it, and ESPN with BBC Sport settle it if the NBA page cannot be read.
We looked for cases where NBA team owners voted on the sale of control of a team. The league's press releases list 17 such approvals from 2010 to 2026, and no refusal. We took the ten most recent, from 2014 to 2026. The owners approved all ten, and seven press releases say the vote was unanimous. (NBA)
