Resolved: YES

On 27 October 2026 Unite told STV News it had an overwhelming mandate for strike action from Loganair cabin crew, with about 50 of the more than 60 balloted members voting for action, so the vote passed the legal turnout; the Unite site blocks scripts and the browser and BBC News and Sky News did not report it, so this follows the same STV basis Pavlo accepted for the new offer market on 28 October.

Why these numbers

History. 8 of 8, from BBC News reports, which cover votes that back a strike more often than votes that fail.

Hunch. Loganair says it already improved its offer in late September, which gives the crew a two-year deal to weigh against a strike.

How this resolves

The vote market resolves on Unite's announcement of the result, confirmed by BBC News or Sky News: YES if by the end of 28 October a majority backs strike action and the result allows a legal strike, NO if most vote against, the vote is withdrawn or no result is announced by then. If the Unite page cannot be opened, BBC News and Sky News reports settle it.

The pattern behind it

8 of 8
All eight strike votes at UK airlines, airports and ground handlers that BBC News reported since 2018 backed a strike. No employer made a new offer before a vote closed.

We looked for cases where a union ran a formal strike vote at a UK airline, helicopter firm, airport or ground handler after workers turned down a pay offer, and one side spoke about the company's money. We found eight such votes from 2018 to 2025 in BBC News reports. All eight backed a strike, and in none did the employer make a new offer before the vote closed.
