How this resolves
Resolves on the official scorecard for the second Rothesay Test at Lord's, England v Pakistan, as published on espncricinfo.com and ecb.co.uk at the conclusion of play, no later than 31 August 2026. A match abandoned or drawn for any reason, including weather, resolves to Draw or no result.
The pattern behind it
5 of 9
Since 1982 the sides have played nine Tests at Lord's: Pakistan have won five, England two and two were drawn. That is a higher win rate for the touring side than at any comparable English venue, and only two matches in more than forty years have ended without a result. The caveat is that England's two wins were both by an innings, so when the hosts have been on top at Lord's they have been overwhelmingly on top.
Pakistan have won five of the nine Tests at Lord's since 1982. Lord's is meant to be hard for visiting teams, but against Pakistan it has been the opposite. The wins came across very different eras, with different players, pitches and balls.
