Hunch. In the 20 trading days to 30 October, Nvidia's daily price swings were calmer than before any of the nine earlier reports, which makes a 6% fall harder to reach.
The $192 market follows the exchange contract word for word and is decided by the same source: YES if any one-minute price of Nvidia shares in regular US trading hours (9:30am to 4pm New York time) in November 2026 is $192.00 or lower on the Pyth NVDA/USD price feed, and NO if not. Trading before and after hours does not count, the level is adjusted if Nvidia splits its shares, and the official daily low on Nasdaq decides if the feed has no data. Nasdaq's official daily lows confirm the result.
We looked for cases where the Nasdaq fell 2.5% or more in one day and Nvidia, the most valuable US chipmaker, published its results within the next 30 days. Each time Nvidia had beaten its own sales forecast for the two quarters before. We found nine such reports from 2020 to 2025. For each we compared the lowest price that month with the close just before the month began.
