The cup market resolves on the SPFL Premier Sports Cup results page after the final on Sunday 13 December 2026, confirmed by the BBC Sport match report: YES if Rangers win the cup in any way, including extra time or penalties, and NO if Hibernian win it. If the final is moved, it resolves on the moved final if played by 31 January 2027, otherwise it is void, with BBC Sport and The Guardian as backups.
We looked for cases where Rangers or Celtic played a club from outside the two in the Scottish League Cup final, with a manager who had not yet won a trophy at the club and a team that were not champions the season before.
