History. 6 of 7: all six wins came inside 90 minutes; the one loss, Celtic in 1994, went to extra time and penalties.
Hunch. Rangers have drawn three of their 11 league games this season, including 2-2 with Hearts on 28 October, and a draw after 90 minutes is a NO here.
The 90-minute market resolves on the score after 90 minutes plus added time in the SPFL or BBC Sport match report: YES if Rangers lead at that point, and NO if the score is level or Hibernian lead. Extra time and penalties do not count, and the same rule for a moved final applies.
We looked for cases where Rangers or Celtic played a club from outside the two in the Scottish League Cup final, with a manager who had not yet won a trophy at the club and a team that were not champions the season before. We found seven such finals from 1994 to 2023. Rangers or Celtic won six of them, all inside 90 minutes. The one loss was Celtic against Raith Rovers in 1994, on penalties. (BBC Sport; The Guardian)
