Resolved: YES

Rein Me In stayed at No 1 on the chart dated 17 July, ahead of Oasis's Wonderwall; Official Charts counted it as a 17th non-consecutive week on top, one more than this market's premise.

How this resolves

The 17 Jul market resolves YES if the single is at No 1 on the chart dated 10 July or 17 July 2026. All markets resolve on the Official Singles Chart as published by the Official Charts Company each Friday at officialcharts.com; no other chart counts. Weeks at No 1 are cumulative and non-consecutive, matching the Official Charts Company's own record-keeping convention.

The pattern behind it

2 of 4
Of the four singles to reach 15 weeks at No 1, two went on past the milestone and two never recorded a 16th week. The base rate is a genuine 50/50 split — though neither blocker (a band deleting its own single, a pre-streaming turnover) maps neatly onto 2026 streaming inertia.

Only four singles have ever reached 15 weeks at No 1. The UK chart is 74 years old. We looked at what happened to each of the four after week 15. Two kept going. Two stopped at exactly 15: one was pushed off the top by a new song, and the other was taken off sale by the band itself.
