History. 1 of 9: only Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) opened third; the other eight came ninth or lower.
Hunch. Variety reported on 18 October that it was the biggest US start for a documentary since Fahrenheit 9/11, the one film that made the UK top three.
The top-three market resolves on the British Film Institute report for the UK weekend of 20 to 22 November 2026, expected on 24 or 25 November: YES if You Can See Everything ranks first, second or third, and NO if it is fourth or lower or not in the table. If that report is late, the first BFI report for the weekend up to 2 December settles it, then Comscore figures reported by Variety and Deadline, and if the film does not open that weekend the market is void.
We looked for cases where a documentary came in the top ten of the weekend chart in its first country and opened in UK cinemas at least a week later. We found nine such films since 2004, eight of them first shown in the US. Each time we checked where it ranked in its first UK weekend, using the British Film Institute’s weekend tables.
