Will the Czech TV fee end on 1 January? Senators and the president still get a say.
On 24 October Czech MPs voted to take forward a bill that ends the household fee for Czech Television and Czech Radio from 1 January.
6 of 7In six of seven laws since 1999 that moved a public broadcaster from a household fee to state money, the fee ended on the start date the government named. In Poland in 2009 the president blocked it.
