How this resolves

The clinical-trial market resolves YES only if a drug candidate publicly attributed to Claude Science is announced as entering a clinical trial on or before 31 August 2026; Anthropic's newsroom and the Claude Science product page are the source of truth.

The pattern behind it

Of these four flagship AI-in-science efforts, one reached a positive mid-stage clinical readout, one failed in the clinic, one produced a research platform rather than a drug, and one was discontinued. The pattern is genuinely split: strong tooling wins are common, near-term clinical payoffs are not.

AI has often sped up the early stages of drug discovery. It has not yet changed the fact that roughly nine in ten drugs fail in clinical trials. We looked at four big AI science efforts. The record of AI-made drugs is split: real scientific progress, and trials that stalled all the same.
