The RBA statement of 3 November 2026 does not mention a possible further rise; it says only that the Board will do what it considers necessary, and The Guardian reports the statement removed the explicit reference to further hikes.

Hunch. The statement and the governor both said on 29 September that rates would rise again if needed, with inflation still above the target (RBA, 29 Sep 2026).
The statement market resolves on the text of the same statement of 3 November 2026: YES if it mentions a possible further rise in the cash rate, in words such as if needed, may or would be required if. A statement with no mention of a further rise, or one that turns towards cuts, resolves NO.
We looked for cases where a central bank with an inflation target raised rates for at least the third time without a cut in between, said a further rise was possible but not expected, and its head said in public that no more rises might be needed. We found nine, all from 2023. In six the next meeting brought a pause.
