How this resolves

The chart-position market resolves YES only if Rodrigo's album is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated 8 August 2026. Both live markets resolve on the Billboard 200 as published by Billboard (billboard.com/charts/billboard-200), using Luminate data; chart positions as first published are final. Ties or chart methodology changes resolve per Billboard's published ruling.

The pattern behind it

2 of 4
The pattern is split down the middle: two of four comparable blockbuster debuts turned into long No. 1 runs, and two surrendered the top spot within about a fortnight. The dividing line was streaming staying power, not the size of the opening week.

Big pop album debuts since 2021 split into two groups. We found four. Albums with strong streaming stayed at No 1 for a month or more. Albums that relied on first-week sales of special editions lost the top spot within about two weeks.
