How this resolves

The first market resolves on the official provisional result for the neutrality initiative published by the Federal Statistical Office and the Federal Chancellery on 27 September 2026: YES if it is accepted by both voters and cantons, NO otherwise. The pattern behind it

1 of 5
1 of 5: of five Swiss votes since 2012 on plans to limit the government's hand abroad or reopen treaties, only the 2014 immigration quotas passed.

We looked for cases where Swiss voters were asked to limit the government's hand abroad, or to reopen or leave international treaties, by a citizens' initiative that the government and parliament told them to reject. We found five, from 2012 to June 2026. In each we compared the result with the last SRG poll and with the vote of the cantons.
