Resolved: NO

The RMT issued no London Underground strike notice before 7 August; its news feed for the window covers other operators only and TfL's strikes page lists no Tube action.

How this resolves

New strike dates resolve YES only on a formal RMT strike notice or press release naming London Underground dates, confirmed on rmt.org.uk or TfL's strike page. Announcement timing is what counts, not the strike dates themselves — a notice issued before 7 August for September strikes still resolves YES.

The pattern behind it

3 of 5
Three of the last five major RMT Underground disputes produced further strike dates after an initial round or suspension. Two settled without another walkout. The pattern is genuinely split — it leans towards more action, but a quiet settlement is far from rare.

We looked at the five major RMT disputes on the Underground since 2015 and asked whether each came back with new strike dates after its first round or a pause. They fall into two groups. Some ended after one round or a late offer. Others kept producing new strike dates until a deal was reached. Two of the five, in 2022 and 2023, were rounds of the same dispute over pensions and jobs.
